Apple, a U.S-based computer solutions provider, has opened a store in Ghana to make its products and services available to Ghanaians.
The company plans to bring its world-class products and Information Technology (IT) solutions to clients in the country. The Apple store, which is called the “iShop” is located at the Accra Mall and has in stock the entire Apple product line such as iPods, Macbooks and iMacs.
The store, which has an internet café facility, is a partnership between Apple and Vodafone Ghana that is aimed at providing Ghanaians with reliable, fast and high-speed broadband internet access.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Apple iShop, Fatogoma Silue said:
“The facility will also provide training to people who want to learn the power of the Macs and the entire line of iMacs. People who want to browse the internet using Apple’s platform will also be considered.”
The service, which is powered by the two companies, is already available in South Africa, Kenya and Egypt.In 2008 and 2009, Apple invested heavily in Europe, Middle-East and Africa. Quality, simplicity and innovation are the core values that have made Apple one of the most exciting and valuable brands in the world.
