President Mahama has put together a team to go to China to speed up the disbursement of the $3billion China Development Bank loan facility to the country.
About one billion dollars of the three billion loan that facility will be invested into the Western region particularly the gas processing plant.
President Mahama made this known when he addressed the Western regional House of Chiefs who paid a courtesy call on him at the Castle on Tuesday.
“I am sending a team to China to speed up the disbursement of the CBD facility” President Mahama.
He added that “as you aware the bulk of the CBD facility is going to be invested in the Western region for the gas processing plant”.
President Mahama also said he will do everything possible to ensure that the Western region will becomes the new industrial hub in the country.
